35 Famous Musicians with Custom Instagram Effects
You could consider Instagram effects for musicians as the new music video- a creative gift to your fans. Some of the biggest names in popular music and some up-and-coming artists as well have noticed the trend and taken initiative to have custom Instagram effects (aka IG face filters) made. They are powerful social media marketing tools for spreading awareness and engagement at the launch of a new song or album. New unique strategies to drive follower interaction are becoming increasingly important as we work through 2020 and all the unprecedented challenges that it has us facing. Here, we at New Future Creative have compiled a list of 35 musicians who have custom Instagram effects available for their fans on their IG accounts.
We’ve written before about how musicians’ filters are uniquely positioned to go viral given a significant number of followers who are looking to engage with creative content. Here is how:
“When filters are shared to Instagram stories, everyone who sees that story will see your Instagram handle in the top left corner of the story. They are only two taps away from viewing your Instagram account, and can save the filter to their ‘story camera reel’ to later use and share to their audience. [...] But most importantly, a song can be linked to a filter, so that every time the filter is seen, your song is automatically played!” (New Future Creative, 2020)
Now, not every custom musician Instagram effect features a song, but it's definitely an opportunity to spread incredible music, and is recommended to take advantage of. Wondering how fans can find these Instagram effects? Read up on how to find effects on Instagram. In the specific case of musicians’ custom Instagram effects, there are four ways that fans can access them:
- Through stories posted by the musician or other fans.
- Go to the musician’s Instagram account and select the Instagram effect/ filter icon (smiley face +).
- Search in the effect gallery, although this is not the most efficient option!
- If reading here, click the links included in this article on a mobile device.
Read on to discover- in no particular order- 35 famous musicians who have jumped on the custom Instagram effect bandwagon early. Some even have multiple filters!
